About JBF
"What if we lived in a world where everyone was
scientifically literate?

"What if we lived in a world where all kids had
access to a high-quality science education?

"And what if that education was fun and deeply
engaging, and also served as an opportunity for
students to transform their own lives, the lives of
their communities and our world?"

This is what Jhumki set out to do, and this is the
work of her Foundation
.

Safiyyah, a senior at the School for Democracy &
Leadership, Brooklyn, NY, says: "I have passed four
regents in a semester and gained the right to skip to the
11th grade. In 12th I ran for student body President and
won unanimously. My favorite subject has always been
science, that's why I chose to pursue biology in college.
I am still deciding where to go as I have been accepted
to several colleges, but I can't wait to explore more
about the relationships between organisms and the
environment."
